ProDose
A senior capstone team building a smart dispenser for scheduled medication. I run product on the physical side.

ProDose automates scheduled dispensing of tablets and capsules. I joined a five-person Mechanical & Industrial Engineering capstone team out of UMass Amherst to run product development on it, which in this case means the physical build, not a backlog.
Most of the work so far is CAD, 3D modelling and a run of printed prototypes, each one there to answer a specific question about the dispensing mechanism before the next revision gets cut. Translating a product requirement into something that has to survive being an actual mechanical part is a different discipline than translating it into a feature, and I like that it is.
The rest is coordination: keeping the design decisions, manufacturability constraints and technical requirements consistent across the team as the dispensing architecture gets refined.
